Liquidity spillover in cryptocurrency markets

This study will investigate the liquidity spillover effects of five cryptocurrencies: Bitcoin, Ether, Binance-coin, Ripple, and Tether. Firstly, researcher utilizes Amihud illiquidity ratio to quantify performance currencies, which we treat as weekly for purposes our due data collecting constraints. Secondly, effect in cryptocurrency market over period 2017-2022, employs Diebold Yilmaz's index. The results identify senders receivers spillovers on an individual pairwise basis major currencies demonstrate presence time variation. Additionally, this paper evaluates news report-based uncertainty index (UCRY). includes price cryptocurrencies (UCRY price) surrounding policy policy). Considering constructed follows same path largest cryptocurrency, it is therefore recommended that Bitcoin can be used forecast Overall, has filled a gap literature by conducting research markets, presents some preliminary conclusions.
